Keke Palmer’s “Saturday Night Live” debut was one for the history books. The 29-year-old actor has had a major year, starring in Hollywood blockbusters like “Nope” and “Lightyear” — and now she has added “SNL” host to her list of accomplishments. Oh, and she also announced she’s expecting her first child!
Palmer’s first time hosting the famed sketch show was full of unforgettable moments. In addition to announcing her pregnancy, she also sang about finding a “big boy” for cuffing season, played a baffled employee at a Hello Kitty store, and joked that Drake runied her life with his “Kiki Do You Love Me?” song. For the record, she is “the Keke,” but she’s not “that Kiki.” Add in a “Kenan & Kel” reunion sketch, and it’s safe to say the “Nope” star’s “SNL” hosting gig was a success.
In a recent interview with CNN, Palmer shared how excited she was to host “SNL” for the very first time. “I know it’s gonna be so much fun,” she told the outlet. “I’m really excited about it and just looking forward to doing it. I think it’s gonna be a unique experience, but also some familiar territory. And then it’ll just be fun seeing how they do it, you know, on their side of it. Because I love sketch.”
