During a Nov. 2 appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” Gomez opened up about why she chose to disclose some of her most personal matters in the documentary, including her bipolar disorder and battling lupus. “I was able to say my diagnosis out loud for the first time, and it gave me such strength,” Gomez told the daytime talk-show host. “It wasn’t easy, and I think that’s why I wanted the documentary to feel really personal.”
Gomez also shared that she’s “kind of scared” to unveil the movie. “A lot of people are going to see this whole other side of me, and I’m like, I hope they like it . . . I’m really nervous,” she added.
