For everyone who’s ever had a 1950s-style daydream starring Mr. Harry Edward Styles, you’re likely shaking with anticipation ahead of the Oct. 21 release of his new movie, “My Policeman,” in theaters. In the lead-up to the exciting release, we present these “My Policeman” set photos to you as you look back on the filming process.
On May 3, 2021, Styles was spotted filming an intimate scene with costar Emma Corrin. If the way Corrin was looking at Styles just before the pair kissed says anything about the film, we’re all about to get emotionally wrecked. “My Policeman” — which is based on the 2012 Bethan Roberts novel of the same name (and loosely inspired by the life of novelist E.M. Forster) — sees Styles caught up in a love triangle between his wife, played by Corrin, and a man he meets at a museum, played by David Dawson.
On May 4, while filming a scene with Dawson, we were treated to a look at Styles in full police uniform. We’re not sure what we were expecting, but it certainly wasn’t that. Guess you can’t exactly have a movie called “My Policeman” without a policeman. Then on May 7, in a scenario straight from our dreams, Styles was seen frolicking beachside in a pair of tastefully tiny swim trunks. Between Styles in a 1950s-approved swimsuit, a dapper-looking Dawson, and the way Corrin’s Marion looks at Styles’s Tom, we’re not sure what we’re most excited for.
The film takes place in two different time periods, and Gina McKee, Linus Roache, and Rupert Everett play the older counterparts of Corrin, Styles, and Dawson, respectively.
“My Policeman” hits theaters on Oct. 21 and will stream on Prime Video two weeks later, beginning Nov. 4.
