Could everyone, like, chill for a sec? Turns out Jamie Lee Curtis isn’t the only one keeping her fingers crossed for a “Freaky Friday” reboot. On a Nov. 10 appearance of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Lindsay Lohan revealed that she is also holding out hope for a sequel, saying it’s something she’s actually already talked about with Curtis. “We did speak about it, yeah,” Lohan said. “I was on set filming at the time, and Jamie Lee Curtis writes you, and you just get excited and distracted immediately, so I had to bring myself back down to earth,” she continued. “And then she said, ‘Freaky Friday 2,’ and I got [even] more excited.”

It took a bit more pressing from Fallon for Lohan to finally admit that she was equally interested in the idea of a follow-up film. “We would both be into it,” she said, although no official announcements have been made.

Back in October, Jamie Lee Curtis also opened up about the possibility of making a “Freaky Friday” sequel alongside Lohan, saying that she’s definitely on board. At a “Halloween Ends” press tour event in Mexico City, Curtis admitted that she would “absolutely” want to do a follow-up film, via a video captured by a fan. “Lindsay Lohan and I are friends,” Curtis explained to the crowd after she was asked whether she would ever be open to a sequel. “She texted me the other day — she’s in Ireland making [her upcoming Netflix movie ‘Irish Wish’],” Curtis said, joking about the security questions she asked to make sure it was really her former costar.

“She said, ‘Hey Jamie, it’s Lindsay,’ and I said, ‘Yeah? Prove it!'” Curtis said, revealing that she eventually figured out it was really Lohan because she was able to name the rap the two were trying to learn in the car together while filming the iconic “Freaky Friday” french-fry scene. (Justin Timberlake‘s “Like I Love You,” for anyone wondering.) So it’s clear the two still keep in touch, even if Curtis has some unconventional security protocol in place.

“Anyway, ‘Freaky Friday’ remake? Absolutely,” Curtis told the audience in no uncertain terms. And with Lohan recently making her return to acting, it could only be a matter of time before we see Tess and Anna Coleman reunited.
