Keke Palmer is officially the new Porter Magazine cover star, wearing a slew of Barbiecore designer looks in a variety of pale pink, fuchsia, and bright red for the editorial. While some of the separates are quite tailored, others are more groundbreaking — namely the entirely sheer pink bodysuit and leggings by Alaïa, styled to look like a naked catsuit capped off with pink satin pointed-toe heels from The Attico, along with subtle silver hoop earrings from Sophie Buhai.
On the cover itself, Palmer, 29, emerges from the shadows with bright rays of light illuminating her face and torso. She sports a bright-red bralette from The Row and a high-waisted silk skirt with a matching belt from Carolina Herrera, accessorized with diamond Stone and Strand hoops and a glistening gold wrap-style bangle from Jennifer Fisher. The rest of the shoot includes everything from a voluminous gown to a bikini top and sarong-style skirt. The star shared images of her looks, dreamed up by Herin Choi, on Instagram, writing, “Loved chatting to @portermagazine about the journey of my career.”
In the article, Palmer spoke about being the first Black woman to ever lead her own show on Nickelodeon, becoming the youngest talk-show host in TV history, and future projects. Having been in the public eye for so much of her adolescence, the star said, “My thirties are probably going to be better than my twenties . . . There was a lot going down [in my twenties], but you learn so much. You feel so grown, but you’re really still a kid – learning and figuring things out. I’m looking for my thirties to be a breeze.”
