Hayley Kiyoko Completely Transforms Into the Grinch For Holiday Party: “A Dream Come True”

Dreams really do come true . . . even if those dreams involve a head-to-toe transformation into the Jim Carrey–version of the Grinch. On Sunday, pop singer Hayley Kiyoko shared photos of her impressive Grinch costume on Instagram as well as an emotional video explaining her love for the Christmas-stealing character.

In the photos, Kiyoko does a spot-on impression of Carrey’s Grinch, dances in her costume, and poses with her girlfriend, Becca Tilley, who dressed up as Martha May Who (who was played by Christine Baranski in the 2000 film “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”). The “For the Girls” singer’s commitment to her costume is evident; she even called in a professional to help her create the look. Kiyoko tagged makeup artist Kelton Ching in her post and thanked him for helping her make her Grinch dreams a reality.

“HELP ME . . . IM FEELING ❤️,” she wrote. “Thank you @keltonfx for killing this and @eddieyangofficial for making it happen 🙏🏼 a dream come true.” Tilley appeared to be equally impressed by the way she and Kiyoko’s costumes came together. She commented on her girlfriend’s post, writing, “I love you and I love being the Martha may to your grinch 🥹💚.”

Becoming the Grinch for her holiday party wasn’t just a whim for Kiyoko, though. At the end of her Instagram carousel, she shared a video explaining just how much the “mean one” means to her. “I just have to say, I grew up loving the Grinch, and I really connected to him, and my dream was to date someone like Martha May. And my dream has come true,” she said.

Tilley didn’t get quite so emotional in her post, but she appeared to be just as impressed by her and her girlfriend’s transformation as everyone else was. She captioned her post, “the the the…….. THE GRINCH 💚❤️.” Meanwhile, the couple’s famous friends weighed in on their next-level Christmas costumes in the comments. “Awww I love you guys so much-BEST!!!” Chrishell Stause wrote. Leslie Grace added, “How?!!!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 outstanding!” Meanwhile, Taylor Dome Lautner commented, “This is TOO GOOD.”

The moral of this holiday story is clear: Christmas wishes really do come true, even if your wish is to become the Grinch for a day.
